Quality Counts (QC) is all about collecting and communicating high quality transportation data that improves roadway safety and efficiency.  Our data makes communities better places to live, learn, work and play.  We help transportation engineers and planners in the public and private sector to make decisions about roadway development, traffic operations, and maintenance.

As QC grows, we are expanding our software development efforts to better serve our clients with cutting edge products that communicate and analyze the data we collect.  Our User Interface Developer will help build software applications that have a direct impact on transportation in our communities.  We are looking for someone with a passion for designing and coding beautiful, intuitive user interfaces (think mapping and analytics in one.)  You will use your savvy sense of UI design, user-oriented problem solving, and attention to detail to develop map-based applications for traffic data management, reporting, and visualization.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of commercial software experience with a focus on UI
  • Knowledge of software development processes including estimation, feature design, development, and maintenance
  • Functional/Technical expertise with HTML, CSS, and Javascript
  • Experience maintaining web frameworks like Angular and Bootstrap
  • Experience debugging and improving user interface responsiveness
  • BS/MS in Computer Science

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working with transportation data
  • Familiarity with mapping software and APIs (Google Maps, ArcGIS)
  • LAMP platform and AWS cloud experience
